Sentir Vida - Orangutan

My favourite programme activity was washing and scrubbing the elephants because we are able to get so close to them. I am going to remember how friendly Ella the lioness is, how beautiful the tiger cubs and sunshine the squirrel monkey is.

"As President and on behalf of The Beaudesert Branch Committee of the National Serviceman's Association of Australia I extend sincere thanks to Megan Davidson for being our guest speaker at quarterly branch meeting June 2010.  Megan entertained and enlightened us all with her recount of an earlier career with the Australian Defence Force and how more recently she came to take on a conservation role.  I must congratulate Megan on an informative presentation and imparting her knowledge of the Orangutans of Borneo and the entire region and her ability to connect with all our members including ex-servicemen.  At the meeting that followed, our members voted Megan one of the best guest speakers ever and we welcome her back to the Beaudesert RSL and to present again at our Committee Meetings anytime."   Russell Hartley, President, NSAA - Beaudesert Branch
